Potential $5M Settlement Reached in LegalZoom Class ActionJefferson City, MO: A $5 million settlement has been proposed in the consumer fraud class action lawsuit pending against LegalZoom, a California-based vendor of legal documents. The class action, filed by a Missouri resident, alleges that LegalZoom is not licensed to provide legal documents in Missouri. The suit is seeking reimbursement of three times what class members paid for their documents.LegalZoom began roughly a decade ago and provides people with legal documents including wills, trademarks, and incorporation paperwork.
