Overtime Class Action Against Stahlbush Island Farms Reaches Settlement

Portland, OR: Workers who filed an overtime class action against Stahlbush Island Farms have agreed to a settlement. The deal covers more than 100 current and former employees of the Corvallis-area company who work or worked in its food precessing operation.

The suit was filed in March 2010 in U.S. District Court in Eugene. The final agreement still must be approved by Chief Judge Ann Aiken before settlement notices can be sent to the members of the class action, which could take 90 days.

The settlement includes current and former Stahlbush Island Farms food processing workers employed between March 10, 2008, and March 10, 2010. Additionally, the deal covers office workers and truck drivers engaged in the processing side of the business.
