Katrina Flood Victims Agree $20 Million SettlementA class action against several levee boards in Louisiana has reached it conclusion with a federal judge granting final approval of a $20 million settlement.Roughly 500,000 home and business owners who suffered damages resulting from Hurricane Katrina's flood waters brought the suit against levee boards. A decision on how the funds will be dispersed among the Orleans, East Jefferson and Lake Borgne parishes has not been reached, and the settlement may be appealed.
