Brattleboro, VT: (May-08-08) Jeffrey Scott, a 43-year-old man, brought a lawsuit against the town of Brattleboro, alleging that he was tased by several officers. The suit claimed that Scott was sitting in his hot tub four years ago, when officers kicked in his front door as part of a drunk driving investigation. Scott stated that when he refused to get out of the tub, he was dragged out by the policemen. He also said that he was assaulted, tased, arrested and then was put in a cruiser naked. Sources said that one of the officers named in this lawsuit, is also named in another lawsuit concerning two protestors who were tased in 2007. As part of a settlement reached in the case, the town agreed to resolve the case with a undisclosed agreement. [WCAX TV NEWS: MAN TASED BY POLICE SETTLES LAWSUIT]
