Two Teens Shot AtDelaware County, OH: (May-07-08) Two Delaware county teens brought a civil lawsuit against Bobby and Sharon Eden, an Alexandria couple, alleging that Bobby Eden opened fire with a shotgun at their vehicle, showing reckless disregard for their lives. The suit stated that the 60-year-old man fired a shotgun at the car the teens were in after they mistakenly drove onto his property. The two teens were looking for a friend's home in Alexandria when they became lost and drove into the Edens' driveway. They told police they pulled into the driveway to use a cell phone to call their friend for directions when one of the girls saw a man, later identified as Bobby Eden, walk up and fire a 12-gauge pump-action shotgun several times at the car, shattering the Ford Escort's passenger and rear window. Prosecutors charged Eden in connection with the shooting, charging him with battery by means of a deadly weapon and criminal recklessness. Sources said that both the charges were Class C felonies punishable by two to eight years behind bars. As part of a settlement in the case, the lawsuit was resolved after the two sides reached a confidential agreement in the case, which also included an undisclosed payout.
