Universal Express

Boca Raton, FL: (May-21-07) Pop star Michael Jackson filed charges against Universal Express over the auction of Jackson family memorabilia, scheduled for May 30-31 2007, in Las Vegas. The suit aimed at stopping the auction, which includes costumes, gold records and personal items from his career. Universal Express had announced a week before the settlement that a portion of auction proceeds would go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Make A Wish Foundation, Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Ronald McDonald House and Save the Children. Jackson had apprehensions about that and wanted to include certain charities that he had a personal interest in. In a settlement reached, Universal Express included Jackson's wishes. It is estimated that the auction would bring in $50 million. [BUSINESS JOURNAL: MICHAEL JACKSON MEMORABILIA]
