Ocean Harbor House

Monterey County, CA: (Mar-21-07) The California Coastal Commission filed suit against Ocean Harbor House, a condominium complex developer, alleging that Ocean Harbor had performed shoddy workmanship during the conversion from apartments to condominiums in the mid-1990s, as well as the developers' failure to provide for a seawall. The suit was settled with Ocean Harbor House agreeing to pay $7 million. The Ocean Harbor House Homeowners Association is ready to build the seawall after having secured the necessary permits to do so from the Coastal commission. [MONTEREY HERALD: CONDO CONVERSION]
