TAP Pharmaceutical Products, Abbott Laboratories and Takeda Pharmaceutical

The Illinois Attorney General filed a lawsuit against the three companies which manufacture and distribute the prostate cancer drug Lupron. The 2005 lawsuit claimed the companies published fraudulent prices for the drug, causing government programs to overpay hundreds of millions of dollars. TAP Pharmaceutical Products, Abbott Laboratories and Takeda Pharmaceutical agreed to pay a $1.86 million settlement that will be distributed to clinics throughout the state of Illinois.
