Mercy Hospital

In July 2001, four year old Torajee Bobbett spent the day vomiting and was taken to the Wilkes-Barre hospital. Torajee went 10 hours without proper care. A bowel obstruction was undetected causing him to suffer cardiac arrest and irreversible brain damage before dying at the Hershey Medical Center. Torajee's parents filed a medical malpractice and wrongful death lawsuit against the hospital and two of its doctors, Marie Grabowski and Alex Huang.
