Serious Injuries in Bus Crash

A bus crash in Colorado has resulted in serious, but not life-threatening, injuries to eight passengers. Several other passengers suffered minor injuries in the bus crash, which occurred when a tour bus veered off a mountain highway. The driver of the bus was not hurt when the bus crashed, but more than 35 passengers were taken to hospital with minor injuries. One of the seriously injured was an 11-year-old girl.

The bus was taking people from Trinity United Methodist Church in Texas to a ski resort when the accident occurred. Officials described driving conditions as "bad", involving icy highway. Forty-six people were on the bus at the time of the crash.

The company that operates the bus has reported one crash with an injury in the past two years.
