MasTec Inc.

Several Tampa Bay area wire installers have filed a class action lawsuit against their South Florida employer for withholding overtime pay. Current and former employees claim MasTec did not pay overtime and pressured them not to report overtime hours worked.

I am actually employed through a company called Staff Solutions. Mastec hires employees through this company. We are told that we are to work 6 days a week but are only allowed to document 40 hours on our time cards. I report to work at 7am and most days I don't finish my work day until as late as 10 pm. While I realize that I am paid piece work as an installer on their Direct TV contract, I feel this is unnacceptable due to the amount of hours required to work to complete the jobs. I have other issues of complaint against Mastec and this staffing agency and would appreciate the opporunity to speak to someone regarding them.
