Santa Clara, CA: Court approval has been given to a $5.2 million settlement of a Telephone Consumer protection Act (TCPA) class action lawsuit pending against Power Home Remodeling Group LLC. The lawsuit claimed the company had violated the TCPA because it made automated marketing calls to over a million consumers without their consent.
The judge certified a class of more than 1.1 million people, and granted final approval of the settlement, ending the lawsuit brought by plaintiff Teofilo Vasco. The autodialed telemarketing calls or prerecorded, computer-generated voice messages were made between October 2013 and April 2016, approximately.
The judge also awarded a $3,000 award to the named plaintiff, Vasco, who filed the suit in August 2015. He alleged he gave his cellphone number to a Home Depot salesperson and later received 21 unsolicited phone calls from Power seeking his business by way of an autodialer or prerecorded voice message.
The case is Teofilo Vasco v. Power Home Remodeling Group LLC, case number 2:15-cv-04623, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

I received my check for $27.63 I guess in December, due to illness I forgot about the check, I found the check recently, deposited the check and it was returned unpaid.

I received my check today for twenty seven dollars and change. Thank you Mr Vasco. Please tell us how you did this. Power came to my home. I had to kick him out. He wanted to stay while we ate dinner. They called multiple times after Intold them not to. When I picked up the phone to say hello, they would say my first name so would respond, not Good evening, this is PHR. I caught on to their BS and responded no you have the wrong #. That was the only way I got them to stop. Screw PHR. I am glad I went through with the lawsuit.

Yeah I receive my check for $27.63 when the guy who made the original complaint complaint about 21 automated calls they came to my house 27 X after I asked him to remove me from the list they did that automated phone call while I was at work over a hundred times with 20 different phone numbers and I do not exaggerate this was over a three or four-year period of time and I was just about to call a lawyer to get these people to stop harassing me.
And I got $27 for all that harassment over 4 years and people almost got me fired so many times I can't even remember 5.2 million dollars I should have got at least $10,000 for the s*** that I got put through
