Sonics Class Action Reaches Preliminary $1.6 Million Settlement

- by

Seattle, WA: A preliminary order approving the $1.6 million settlement of a class-action lawsuit between three former Sonics season ticket holders and Clay Bennett's Professional Basketball Club (PBC) ownership group was issued last week by US District Court Judge Richard Jones.

The lawsuit stemmed from allegations that the PBC failed to honor its gaurantee to offer the fanes the same price and priority seats for three years when they renewed tickets prior to the 2006-07 season at KeyArena.

A final approval hearing is set for April 29.
