Milford Power Co.agrees to $38 million settlement in energy lawsuit.

Hartford, CT: (June-11-08) Milford Power Co. has agreed to a settlement which will reduce some of the extra charges consumers faced paying in upcoming years. Attorney General Richard Blumenthal indicates he has reached a settlement in which ratepayers will be refunded $4 million for charges already paid and will no longer have to pay $34 million in subsidies, scheduled between Sept. 30 and June 1, 2010. The refunds will come in the form of lower electricity bills.
