Executive Grants

Milpitas, CA: (Mar-10-08) A shareholder lawsuit was brought against Sigma Designs Inc., which makes sets of chips that enhance DVD viewing quality, over its executive stock option grants. The lawsuit, filed in July 2006 in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, sought to recover damages purportedly sustained by Sigma after executives allegedly manipulated the timing of their stock option grants.

As part of settlement reached, the companies have agreed to dismiss their claims, with the confidential settlement, which ends both federal and state derivative lawsuits. The company claimed that it has not acknowledged any wrongdoing and stated that the settlement will not have a material financial impact. [CHRON: SIGMA DESIGNS SETTLES SHAREHOLDER DISPUTE]
