Generator NOx

Sacramento, CA: (Jan-07-08) The Sacramento Air Quality Management District brought charges against internet auction company eBay Inc., alleging that the company had air quality permit violations at its Rancho Cordova data center. The air quality district claimed that eBay operated three standby generators for several days for reasons other than maintenance or emergency use. The generators released oxides of nitrogen (NOx) and diesel soot in excess of operating permits. As part of a settlement reached, the company agreed to pay the $79,200 penalty to resolve allegations.
