Defective Auto Parts

This is a settlement for the Defective Product lawsuit.

New York, NY: (Oct-08-07) Delphi Corp. brought a lawsuit against French auto parts maker Valeo SA, alleging that it sold Delphi defective parts. The suit, filed in a Michigan court in 2005, claimed that Valeo sold Delphi electrical switches that were defective. Delphi, based in Troy, Michigan, is the largest supplier to General Motors and has been in bankruptcy for two years. As part of a settlement reached, Valeo agreed to pay Delphi $4 million to settle the defective products lawsuit. Details of the settlement were filed the US Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan.
