Mall Lease Dispute

Mahoning, OH: (Sep-20-07) Ohio Valley Mall brought charges against Mahoning County regarding a lease agreement. Ohio Valley Mall owns Garland Plaza on the city's East Side, which is the former home of the county's Department of Job and Family Services. The suit stated that the county agency moved from Garland Plaza in July 2007 to Oakhill Renaissance Place, the former Forum Health Southside Medical Center. As part of a settlement reached, Mahoning County commissioners are expected to approve a settlement wherein they will pay annual payments of $225,000 to Ohio Valley Mall for four years to settle the lease dispute.
