Honey Lake Motocross Park

Lassen County, CA: (Sep-04-04) Lassen County brought charges against Larry and Lise Wosick and the Honey Lake Motocross Park, over fee of noise monitoring costs incurred by the county. The noise monitoring took place as a direct ruling of the 2003 court case, 'Citizens for a Healthy Rural Environment, and Richard and Mary Morgan v. Lassen County and Larry and Lise Wosick.' However, the Wosicks sited discrepancies with the billing from the county's retained consultants, during the past four motocross seasons.

As part of a settlement reached, the Wosicks offered an agreement with the county to pay half the fee of noise monitoring costs incurred by the county, currently totaling $170,400. Lise Wosick said she and her husband were trying to reach an agreement with the county that would allow them to continue being part of the community. Sources said that residents from across the community showed up to voice their support of a settlement proposal presented by Larry and Lise Wosick at the regular of the Lassen County Board of Supervisors meeting.
