London, UK: (Jul-23-07) In the long ensuing legal battle between legendary Beatles star Paul McCartney and ex-wife Heather Mills, a settlement was reached, ending the painful saga. As part of the settlement, McCartney agreed to pay Mills a little more than $96 million US. If the arrangement is not contested, it will be the most expensive divorce in the history of Britain. A support amount of nearly $5 million will also be paid until the couple's three-year-old daughter turns 18. Further, a clause was included in the divorce settlement, which stated that neither party may speak publicly about their four year marriage.
