Churchill County, NV: (Jun-06-07) Petticoat Junction LLC, a legal prostitution brothel, filed suit against Churchill County, after efforts to obtain a special use permit for the construction and operation of a legal prostitution brothel on Beasley Drive was continuously rejected. After two appeals in district court were denied, the applicants filed an appeal in the Nevada Supreme Court.
In a settlement reached, the county has agreed to pay the applicants $175,000 to purchase the property on Beasley Drive. The agreement stated that Petticoat Junction agreed to waive all claims and causes of action against the county now or in the future. [NEVADA APPEAL: BROTHEL PROPERTY]
