Edgar Reinoso

Los Angeles, CA: (May-01-07) Former tenants of a seedy, vermin-infested Palmdale apartment building filed a lawsuit against the owner Edgar Reinoso, alleging that they faced slum-like conditions in Antelope Valley apartments. In a settlement reached with the tenants, Reinoso agreed to pay $1 million to settle allegations. The latest settlement involves a seven-unit building owned by Reinoso and managed by his Proud American Investments company. The settlement allocated $21,500 to each of the 17 children listed as plaintiffs, and $26,250 each of the 12 adults. Tenants in a Reinoso apartment building in Lancaster settled for $3 million last year. Reinoso was also cited in June 2006 by the Palmdale Building and Safety Department for violating the city's building-safety codes. [KSBY NEWS: INFESTED APARTMENT]
