Palm Beach, FL : (Apr-22-07) Palm Beach authorities began to fine Donald Trump $1,250 a day for flying a 15-by-25-foot large flag atop an 80-foot flagpole at his Palm Beach club, Mar-A-Lago. The fine led to Trump filing a suit against the town. In a settlement reached, the town agreed to drop all fines levied against Trump in exchange for Trump contributing $100,000 to various charities for veterans of the war in Iraq, the American flag or veterans' hospitals.
