Huddle House

Little Rock, AR: (Apr-17-07) The US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission at Little Rock filed a lawsuit on behalf of Erika Murphy against Hargis-Caldwell Partners LLC, doing business as the Huddle House, in July 2006, claiming that the restaurant fired Murphy because she was pregnant. In a settlement agreement negotiated by the parties, Huddle House agreed to pay Erika Murphy $20,000 in damages for discriminating against her pregnant status and wrongfully terminating her services. Huddle house will also provide training to its management employees on pregnancy discrimination and provide a copy of equal employment opportunity policy to all of its workers.
