Paul Hashman

Elyira, OH: (Apr-11-07) Darrell Oskins filed a lawsuit against 85-year-old Paul Hashman, after Hashman shot at him six times. Oskins claimed that winning a settlement against Hashman was less important to him and his family than to Hashman admitting he was culpable in the shooting. Hashman claimed that he acted in self-defense when Oskins came at him with a snowblower. Hashman is currently serving a seven year prison sentence after being convicted of felonious assault in 2006. He also agreed to pay $20.5 million to Oskins, his neighbor. Sources state that gauging the extent of Paul Hashman's assets, the Oskins may eventually receive not more than $300,000.
