LAWSUITS NEWS & LEGAL INFORMATION

San Francisco, CA

San Francisco, CA: (Apr-10-07) Andrew Marconi filed suit against the San Francisco Police Department and the city claiming that he was humiliated and intimidated by on-duty police officers at a club across the street from the city's Hall of Justice. The suit stemmed from an incident in 2004 in which Marconi and some friends were outside The Endup, a popular late night dance club, when three officers allegedly got out of their car and approached Marconi and his friend Eric Gora. The officers allegedly yelled homosexual slurs at him while he was urinating and Marconi claims one of the policemen grabbed his head, slammed it into a wall and then used his hair to mop up the urine. In a settlement reached, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors will give Marconi $82,500 to end the police misconduct lawsuit. [FOG CITY JOURNAL: POLICE MISCONDUCT]
