Park City, UT

Salt Lake City, UT: (Mar-21-07) The Utah Animal Rights Coalition (UARC) sued Park City in a US District Court after Park City police banished them from the public sidewalk, where the group planned to demonstrate outside the Alaska Fur Gallery. The suit claimed that the act denied them their First Amendment rights. They were also denied access to Main Street during January's Sundance Film Festival. In a settlement reached, Park City agreed to pay $500 to UARC, $250 each to seven UARC plaintiffs, and $15,900 in attorney fees, ending the civil rights lawsuit. [SALT LAKE TRIBUNE: FUR PROTESTERS]
