Toni Braxton

Los Angeles, CA: (Feb-13-07) Singer Toni Braxton filed a lawsuit against Blackground Records and Barry Hankerson in the county of New York. Braxton, originally with Arista Records, was prematurely released from her contract when Hankerson, her agent, signed her onto Blackground Records, where she released only one of the three albums she committed to. The settlement requires Braxton to return to Blackground Records a $375,000 advance she received on December 27, 2006.
