Corona, CA: (Feb-11-07) A leading pharmaceutical company, Andrx Corporation, filed a patent infringement lawsuit in December 2005, against GlaxoSmithKline claiming Wellbutrin XL product infringed Andrx's US patent. The US District Court for the Southern District of Florida ruled in favor of Andrix, ordering GlaxoSmithKline to pay one-time payment of $35 million and has granted GlaxoSmithKline a royalty-bearing license.
