This is a settlement for the Civil / Human Rights lawsuit.
Seattle - Two protesters filed a lawsuit against the city claiming their free speech rights were violated during the World Trade Organization conference in 1999. The lawsuit filed by the American Civil Liberties Union claims police targeted Victor Menotti and Doug Skove because they were talking about policies and displaying signs with content police did not approve. The city of Seattle has agreed to pay $75,000 to settle the protestors' lawsuit. (Sep-18-06)
