LAWSUITS NEWS & LEGAL INFORMATION

Fairfield Resorts Inc.

A lawsuit was filed against the Florida developer on behalf of 1,500 consumers who purchased lots in the Fairfield Glade community in the 1970s and 1980s. The Tennessee Attorney General accused Fairfield of committing to extend water, sewer and road improvements to undeveloped lots, but the company did not keep those promises. Fairfield Resorts has agreed to pay $4 million in restitution to consumers for marketing undeveloped land. (Aug-29-06) [THE TENNESSEAN]

When we purchased our Timeshare we were told that our payment and maintenance fees were in one payment. Now they are saying that we owe them this money. For almost 7 years we have made our Timeshare payments faithfully every month. The payment is automatically withdrawn out of our bank account. Now I am recieving letter stating that we owe over $4,000.00 and if we do not pay we are in jeopardy of losing our Timeshare. I feel this is unfair treatment and that Fairfield Resorts should be held accountable for this.
