Election Systems and Software

The state of Indiana filed a civil complaint against the voting system software company after its software caused delays for some voters and election officials during the state's May primary. The lawsuit claimed Election Systems and Software violated state law by providing defective equipment and services. The company has agreed to pay a $750,000 settlement with the state. The money will help fund the state Voting System Technical Oversight Program and will pay for training videos, onsite support and additional services for the 2007 elections.
