LAWSUITS NEWS & LEGAL INFORMATION

Los Angeles County

Regina Reeves was walking in El Cariso Park in 2004 when she tripped on the raised edge of a walkway and fell on her head and hands. The section of pavement in question was 1/2 to 2 inches higher than adjoining sections. As a result of the fall, Reeves complained of neck and back pain, numbness to her hands and arm pain. She filed a personal injury lawsuit against county; the Los Angeles County Claims Board agreed to settle Reeves' lawsuit for $50,000 to avoid further litigation costs. (Aug-21-06) [NBC 4 NEWS]
