Valeant Pharmaceuticals International sued its former chairman for allegedly accepting unwarranted bonuses. In 2002, Panic was forced to resign after taking more than $33 million in bonuses for his role in the spin off of a business division. Panic agreed to pay Valeant a $20 million settlement.
