FN Herstal USA. Pepper-pellet gun manufacturer

In October 2004, 21-year-old Victoria Snelgrove died after police fired pellets from pepper pellet guns into a disruptive crowd during the Red Sox' American League championship. The Snelgrove family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against FN Herstal USA., manufacturer of the pepper-pellet gun used by the Boston police. In an earlier suit, the family settled with the city of Boston for $5,000,000 and agreed that the city would share up to $2,000,000 of any later settlement with the gun manufacturer. FN Herstal USA has agreed to settle with Victoria Snelgrove's family in the $10,000,000 lawsuit. (Jul-14-06) [WCSH 6 NEWS]
