Charter Communications Inc.

From May 1999 to April 2005, the Tullahoma, Tennessee city government alleged that Charter Communications improperly reported underpaid franchise fees and it conducted an audit to inspect the grantee's records and ensure proper fees were paid to the city. The audit found underpayments in its audit conducted by Telecommunications Consulting Associates, based in Waynesville, N.C. Charter settled with the city for $34,000 for underpayments.
