Barr Pharmaceuticals Inc.

This is a settlement for the Antitrust lawsuit.

In 1998, Invamed, Inc. and Apothecon, Inc. claimed Barr violated antitrust laws by unlawfully blocking access to the raw material source for Warfarin Sodium. Barr Pharmaceuticals is a holding company whose principal subsidiaries, Barr Laboratories, Inc. and Duramed Pharmaceuticals, Inc., develop, manufacture and market generic and proprietary pharmaceuticals. Barr has agreed to pay a $22.5 million settlement to Sandoz, a subsidiary of Novartis AG, which recently acquired Invamed, Inc. and Apothecon, Inc. (Jun-12-06) [TRADING MARKETS]
