In 1998, Invamed, Inc. and Apothecon, Inc. claimed Barr violated antitrust laws by unlawfully blocking access to the raw material source for Warfarin Sodium. Barr Pharmaceuticals is a holding company whose principal subsidiaries, Barr Laboratories, Inc. and Duramed Pharmaceuticals, Inc., develop, manufacture and market generic and proprietary pharmaceuticals.
