Southeastern Restoration, Inc.

The Florida Attorney General filed charges against the company, also known as Afterdisaster, regarding price gouging allegations stemming from the 2004 hurricane season. Afterdisaster allegedly charged an exorbitant fee to condominium associations for water extraction and mold remediation services. It apparently refused to provide the Oceania and the Aegean associations with a price list but claimed it charged a rate acceptable to insurers. Under the terms of the settlement, Afterdisaster will pay more than $19,500 in restitution to victims of price gouging in the aftermath of Hurricane Ivan and will issue a billing credit of more than $550,000 to other victims of gouging.
