This is a settlement for the Commercial lawsuit.
Potomac Electric Power Co. filed claims against the power generator relating to a 2000 deal for Mirant to purchase plants and other assets from Pepco, Potomac's parent company. According to the settlement, Mirant will be able to reject an arrangement that would have forced it to buy power from the Pepco Holdings Inc. until 2021, but the company must pay $520 million in cash and stock.
