Nine women filed a sexual misconduct lawsuit against former highway trooper, Michael Idland. Idland was charged with several felonies and gross misdemeanors for fondling the women. He was convicted of illegally searching and fondling the women. Idland spent 17 months in solitary confinement in the King County Jail and received four years probation. The Washington State Patrol has agreed to pay a $2 million settlement. (May-19-06) [SEATTLE TIMES]
