The city of San Diego filed charges against the company for allegedly sending hundreds of junk advertisements to city owned fax machines. The city sued the president of FAX.com, Kevin Katz, for violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, which provides protections for consumers against unsolicited faxed advertisements.
