Merced County

Jason Haugen was attending the county fair when two sheriff's deputies allegedly beat him brutally. In the process, Haugen's insulin pump was torn from his body. He filed a personal injury lawsuit against the county claiming the deputies were on steroids during the attack. Merced County has agreed to pay a $15,000 settlement. (May-07-06) [ABC LOCAL NEWS]
