This is a settlement for the Nursing Homes lawsuit.

In 2002, Donald Burdick was admitted to Lakeside Nursing & Rehabilitation in Chippewa Falls after having heart surgery that left him paraplegic. Burdick developed bedsores after the nursing home did not follow proper care procedures. He filed a lawsuit against the nursing home for negligence in his care. Extendicare Homes agreed to pay Burdick a $2.75 million settlement. (May-03-06) [DULUTH NEWS TRIBUNE]
