The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Seattle filed a gender discrimination lawsuit against the home improvement company on behalf of a female former employee. The female employee worked as a kitchen designer at the Shoreline store and was allegedly subjected to gender discrimination and was terminated after eight years of satisfactory performance.
