Air Ambulance

The family of Alicia Goodwin has settled a lawsuit against the air ambulance company that owned and operated a helicopter that crashed while attempting to transport Goodwin to a medical center after she was hit by a truck near a rest area. The helicopter collision killed everyone aboard, including the flight nurse, flight paramedic and pilot.

Medical reports reveal that Goodwin's initial accident resulted in a non-life threatening leg injury. The Goodwin family alleged that the flight was unnecessary given the poor weather conditions and the lack of life-threatening injury. (Apr-14-06) [PRIMEZONE]
