On September 9, 2002, 34-year-old Daniel Hupe was struck by a cement truck while working on a taxi-way at an Aurora Municipal Airport construction site. Hupe was taken to the Provena Mercy Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Hupe's family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the owner and operator of the cement truck.
