My daughter was prescribed Augmentin 850 after a tooth (wisdom) extraction. After a few weeks through a standard yearly blood procedure, we found out that her blood count dropped dramatically to 2.4-1.7 and her neutrophils were at a dangerous 0.2%. She is now in danger of an internal infection and that has caused extreme test. We had to perform a dramatic bone marrow to understand what is happening to her. We have passed a week of hell. All doctors thought she had leukemia or A plastic Anemia. No KID should be prescribed this drug and especially in such a large dose. In addition the doctor told us she was prescribed Amoxicillin and it was later on that we found out that she was given Augmentin instead.
We are furious......
