Roman Catholic Diocese of Burlington

Michael Gay of South Burlington filed a civil lawsuit against the church claiming he was molested as a child by a former priest. Gay sued the diocese on claims he was molested while he was an altar boy by former priest Edward Paquette in the 1970s. Bishop Salvatore Matano of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Burlington has agreed to award Gay a $965,000 settlement. (Apr-19-06) [BURLINGTON FREE PRESS]
