Massachusetts customers persistently complained about the cable TV company to the Massachusetts Attorney General who eventually filed charges against Comcast for allegedly misleading customer with its advertising and marketing practices. The lawsuit claimed Comcast, and its predecessor, AT&T Broadband, engaged in a series of unfair practices in the advertising and sale of its cable television services. Comcast has agreed to pay a $1 million settlement, improve its customer service practices and change its advertising for cable television, Internet, and telephone services. I called Comcast for services, was lied to and I feel a bait and switch was played with me by their sales rep. This is not the first time this has happened. It also happened in Illinois. They are a monopoly and these practices need to be stopped! It is terrible, that what was once free, is now unaffordable for many and for those who can afford it, it's a constant battle for a better deal on outrageous prices!
